Join us for a focused one-day workshop dedicated solely to wheel-throwing techniques, ideal for those who have tried wheel work before but aren’t yet confident working independently. Led by experienced ceramic artist Anastasiia, this intensive five-hour session offers hands-on guidance, helping you build skills and confidence on the wheel.
- 9:30 - 12:00: Workshop: Play with Clay on the Wheel
- 12:00 - 13:00: Lunch break. Please feel free to bring something or pick something up from our neighborhood. You'll also have access to coffee, tea, and a variety of refreshing beverages during your time at the studio.

The Pottery Wheel in 3 sessions
Our pottery wheel course w/ 3 sessions is the ideal class to become intensively familiar with and to learn the potter's wheel in a small and collaborative atmosphere.
In 3 evening sessions you will be introduced to the process of ceramics creation from forming clay through to a finished glazed piece. In the first part of the course you'll learn the turning technique with the wheel. The second part is dedicated to learning trimming techniques while turning. In the third session, you will glaze all raw fired pieces. After about 4 weeks you can pick up your first pottery objects (2 to 3 pieces) and take them home.

Pottery Wheel Weekend Course
Our pottery wheel weekend course is the ideal class to become intensively familiar with and to learn the potter's wheel in a small and collaborative atmosphere.
During this weekend workshop, you'll explore the full ceramics process, from shaping raw clay to completing a finished piece. In the first part of the class, you'll concentrate on developing wheel throwing skills. A separate evening glazing session will follow, where you'll learn how to glaze and apply the final touches to your pottery, bringing your creations to life. After about 4 weeks you can pick up your first pottery objects (4 to 8 pieces) and take them home.
You can also extend your practice time in the afternoon with our open studio option, allowing you to continue working independently for a discounted rate of 30 CHF for 3 hours. Additionally, you can use our recycled clay for just 2 CHF per 100g. You can either book your open studio session in advance or decide spontaneously when you're here - whichever suits you best!

2-Day Intensive Pottery Wheel Course w/ Chantal Brogini from studio à la cave
This two-day workshop is led by Chantal Brogini, a renowned potter coming from Biel and known for her inspiring work at studio à la cave. LET’S PLAY WITH CLAY!
This intensive course is ideal for beginners looking to immerse themselves in the art of working on the pottery wheel, as well as those seeking to enhance their skills before venturing into independent work.
Day 1
During the first day, participants will focus on clay preparation, centering techniques, and mastering the creation of forms with uniform thickness, among other essential skills.
Day 2
On the second day, the workshop will delve into trimming pots and crafting handles, adding valuable techniques to your repertoire.
Day 3
On the third day, you'll have the chance to apply glaze to the pieces you've created during the workshop.
